SIMSBURY TO HOLD 1ST ANNUAL MINI MAKER FAIRE

The Simsbury Mini Maker Faire, sponsored by the Simsbury Public Library and Simsbury Main Street Partnership, will take place Saturday, April 1, 2017, in and around the grounds of the Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT, from 10 am – 4 pm.

The Simsbury Mini Maker Faire is free and open to all, with hands-on, interactive learning opportunities and fun and creative activities for people of all ages. Libraries, learning and innovation have always gone together. We are excited to offer a gathering place where scientists, inventors, artists and creators can demonstrate their talents and collaborate in an open forum.

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. The Maker Faire is a venue for makers to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.

The Call for Makers of all Types: Performers, Engineers, Crafters, etc. is Open Now through March 10, 2017.

The Simsbury Mini Maker Faire is calling all makers to apply to exhibit what they love to do! There is no cost to exhibit or attend. Come out to demonstrate your creations to curious attendees and meet fellow makers. Scientists, engineers, artisans, crafters, garage inventors, hobbyists, and students are all invited to complete the online
