Hartt School graduate and rising classical guitarist Jaclyn Jones comes to the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library Coffeehouse to share her expressive and thought provoking interpretations that take listeners on a musical journey spanning over three centuries.
Jaclyn will perform some of her favorite music from Spain, Australia, South America, Germany, and Hungary that showcase the guitar’s full range of colors and sounds. Her program will include works by Bach, Torroba, Barrios, Mertz, Houghton, and Pujol.
According to Ieke Scully, a Board Member of the Simsbury Historical Society, ‘The performance Jaclyn gave to us was uniquely different from any guitar concert I have heard. Each note picked out with incredible clarity and speed, making the guitar produce music I never knew a guitar could make; Jaclyn is a master at her art!’
Doors open at 7:30 pm and the show will end by 9:30. Free and open to all but registration is requested
